Beginning a new sport takes a lot of courage. Never fear! While it’s best to take a lesson from a certified instructor. Always keep your hands in a fist when learning to snowboard. When you fall backward punch the snow and sit on your butt. A broken wrist is the most common beginner injury when learning to snowboard.

Keep your back straight, shoulders pointed in the direction of your board, if you feel like you're going to fall back try to land of your elbows to prevent breaking your wrist, get ready to fall a lot but get back up and keep trying! You will be sore the next day.

Take lessons. Lessons help SOOO much. I only took one lesson a couple years ago, and after watching a whole bunch of people carving, I slowly figured out how to carve.
