Snowboard camp is an awesome idea.... if you can afford it! I was also looking into this until I saw the price tag on it. Look to spend up to $2000 at High Cascade (Mt. Hood). If you do go there, I heard Andreas Wiig, Hana Beaman, Jeremy Jones, and jump with Jussi would be there. I'm sure lots of other proriders too.

Thanks for asking this question. From what I read, I wish I can go, seems like a lot of fun!

Yeah dude it is a great idea.

I just went to camp at Windells on Mt. Hood...I also live close by so I snowboard in the summer usually.

When I went, I somewhat expected to get really good, but don't expect to go from barely doing 180's to 720's. You'll reinforce the basics which will help you down the line. It's also great to get the constant feedback. You fall on a jump or rail, and they will tell you exactly what you did wrong and how to do it next time. And most likely, you will get better.

But even if I didn't get any better at camp, I wouldn't really care, because it is so much freakin fun. You board from 9 to 4, then you come back, chill for a bit, and then go skate or jump on the trampolines, whatever. It's amazingly fun, and by the end of it, you'll never want to leave.

You also get to meet some really cool people. From your roommates to your coach, to the cooks, they are all really friendly and cool.

Not sure where your located, but I would totally recommend Windells. They have great coaches and make everything really, really fun. Doesn't matter what age you are.

Snowboard camp is a lot of fun. I totally recommend it. You will meet a lot of great people and get to ride with some of the best riders in the world. Don't expect to become a pro in the week that you are there but chances are you will learn a lot. For me, it just reinforced the basics and that is what helped me progress in the years that followed. It's expensive but if you can afford it do it while you can.

Snowboard camp is a great idea but it is also expensive. It will most definitely help. A good camp is High Cascade Snowboard Camp (HCSC), at Mt. Hood.

It's a good idea if you've already got a solid handle on the basics and feel you could improve with coaching. I went to camp a couple summers ago when I first started and it was a real bad decision for me. I was still trying to learn how to slide rails and even clear jumps. If I went now, I would be learning switch slides and 540s instead of the basics.

Go if you're an intermediate rider and feel you could improve with coaching.

Heck ya its a good idea. Some camps like the ones on Hood are open all year long. Snowboardin in the summer is the best thing since sliced bread. I also came home with my 'Little black book" full, which is always a good thing.

Will it help your riding? hell yeah, they have coaches to help you along the way, and even if they didn't, snowboarding will make you better cause any kind of practice helps. if i had the cash id go to high cascade or camp of champions. that's the issue- money. summer snowboard camp will be really helpful, but let me tell you it doesn't come cheap. at high cascade the cheapest session is like a thousand somethin per person

properly at first I doubt you would be on a ridge that would ever have the snow %. blown off. in case you're then you certainly have not performed your examine following the localized snow packs and prerequisites. in this experience you could in all probability be got here upon lifeless. once you're interior the B.C. you could constantly be arranged to spend a minimum of a million evening obtainable, yet on a ridge line thats a no bypass considering the fact which you're extra open to each and all of the climate. you elect to be in an area you could build a snow cave to sleep in. Now once you are going to declare yet i'm on a ridge there is snow up there, refer back on your question on the subject of the lack of snow. Now in spite of in case you do camp on the ridge line and watch for the subsequent days blanket, except you're in a coastal area the place it drops ft of snow over evening instead of mere inches one nights snowstorm could no longer conceal up rocks. I noticeably advise you study slightly extra approximately B.C. situations until now attempting to bypass obtainable.
