While we can all debate the relative merits of the hundreds of boards out there, the answer to your actual question is the Custom. Assuming your budget allows it, the Custom is a far superior board in every way, unless you're a total beginner, which is what the Clash is made for. A few basics on the two boards: Base: Clash is a cheap extruded base. Easy to maintain but slow. Custom has a fast upper-end sintered base, which holds a hot wax and is noticeably faster in all regards. Core: Clash is heavy, Custom is lighter. Fiberglass: Clash has two layers, one running tip-to-tail and one running toe-to-heel. The board is easy to twist, which makes it easy to learn on, but weak when you pick up speed or get rough with it. The Custom has three layers of fiberglass - one running tip-to-tail and two in an X pattern running down the board, stiffening the ride and stabilizing the board. Other Stuff: No other stuff for the Clash. The Custom has carbon stringers that give the board more pop without adding weight or interfering with what's otherwise a nice smooth ride. Top it all off, go ride them and if you had the money to spend you'd never choose the Clash between those two boards. All that said, there are better park boards in Burton's line, but not better all-around boards in the price range.

The clash is a beginner board and when sorted by the dollar sign on Burton's website shows up at the cheap end.
The custom is Burton's bread and butter. This is their best board that most of the pros use. the next time you are watching winter xgames try pausing ur tivo and you will see atleast 4-5 riders on a custom or customx. Comparing clash with custom is like comparing a corolla to a lexus. There is no contest. I started snowboarding on a clash and have been riding a custom for 2 years now. Best board iv ever had.

Custom at that price range is a good choice, You could do better though if money isn't a problem. You could really look into some boards with rockers and magnetraction. A few companies K2,GNU,Libtech,Neversummer make good rocker, magne boards.

they are both good all mountain boards and will work fine in the park but if your lookin for strictly a park board made by burton go with the fix, dominant, blunt, or many others
