burton makes great boards, they are still rider owned and put more into womens product development than every other snowboard company combined. that being said if you get the opportunity to demo womens boards before you buy you'll find the one that truly matches your riding style. A good alternative to the feelgood would be the lipstick a little softer and more playful than the feelgood.

My friend rides the GTwin, and she says it's really good.

Whilst riding in Canada I got to see the new 09 range snowboards. I was riding a salomon prospect last season and has been the best board I have used. If you want a good board with some cool girly graphics (im not trying to make it sound crap) that is designed for girls then wait for a bit and take a look at their stuff. Trust me i'm a snowboard instructor. Oh, and i've seen the burton 09 range too and they haven't done anything as good as salomon for women.

burton boards are fine, they're good quality and everything, but they're over priced a little.

brands i'd recommend: nitro, rome, ride, never summer, gnu, atomic

i personally dont like burton just because they are a big brand, but they are all good boards. It all really depends whether you like freeride, the park, or the halfpipe. Dont just get burton just because they have a good rep, do some research, there are many other great companies like Ride (my personal favorite), Rome, Forum, K2, GNU, Lib Tech, Nitro, Roxy (which specifically designs boards for women).

Some of the best boards under $400 are Nitro T1 (better for freestyle), Roxy Ally Mtx (better for freeride), Flow Mriad (freestyle), Head Pearl (freestyle), GNU B-Nice MTX (freeride), Palmer Jade, Atomic Tika, Burton Troop, Capita Le Tigre, Forum Craft (all good overall boards). I got these out of the "Future Snowboarding" magazine from October 2007.

This link can help find a good board for you based on your gender, height, weight, riding style, and foot size. It will gve you the best board they think is right for you and the size (the size you can apply to any board).

I recommend Ride, they are cheaper and just as a good company as Burton.

If you want to be different, why not really break with the crowd mentality and get a different brand - don't get a Burton at all!

If you want an All-Mountain board, look at Ride (Vista?), Roxy, or K2

For a freestyle board, look at Rome, Gnu, or LibTech

Good Luck

There is no such thing as a good Burton Board. People say they are good boards just because they have developed into a giant snowboard manufacturer and over the years they have focused on selling as much as they can and they forget about quality in their products. I'm a snowboard instructor and we refuse to ride them because they always break on us or de-laminate or other stupid stuff. It's not worth the price.

Get a Ride Fever if you are into riding a lot or hitting the park or Solace if your still learning. The K2 Luna is also a very good board for intermediate riders. Even if you are just learning it is good and it can keep up with your progress.

there is no such thing as a good burton board. go with like a ride vista or a k2 vavavoom. Burton is overpriced and over rated.
